CMP project seminar - what is research?

In this seminar we considered what was research and the value it has in informing/influencing our work. Unfortunately the spider grams for each slice of pie were not put on blackboard like the other groups. We pretty much said that anything can form influence, be it theatre, film, art or even everyday experiences. By doing research you can develop a project idea into something new, creating a more comprehensive piece. Analysing other peoples work gives greater understanding in their ideas, and gives context into which your own work fits into. Research is therefore a valuable asset to utilise when being a creative practitioner.
